welcome to
the uncanny library.

about
i'm pretty sure that everyone who finds themself on this page will already know my name and who i am, so i will skip over the introductory paragraph.
so i really kind of hate social media and this is kind of a project that will hopefully wean me off of instagram lol. starting off, i know i'm a hypocrite. i complain about social media constantly even though i have instagram and i doom scroll through mukbangs at 3 am most nights of the week. one thing i dislike about social media is travel influencers that sell this freshly bleached fantasy of vacation. everything just feels so performative and soul-less when most people's idea of traveling is staying at a michelin star hotel, taking an uber to the most expensive bathroom in the world, and never truly immersing themselves in the local life. it feels like the initiative for doing anything has changed from genuine desire to this mind-hive goal of a plastic photo-op. this library is a collection of all things opposite of the aforementioned. as some of you may know, i have literally no concrete life-plan and the only thing i have ever wanted is to travel as much as i can. actually now that i think about it...i'm traveling without my laptop so i don't think i can update this.....whatever, moving on. i want to document the smaller moments of my travels. i want to highlight the liminal moments, the inbetween waiting for a bus at 3 am in a weird alley, the successful sign-language conversations with people due to a language barrier, etc. i want this to be an unorganized journal of my experiences that solidifies my spot on the world wide web.
ok next topic.
i think that creativity has been stunted in my generation due to this crazy idea that art must be a fully thought out product without flaws, and i feel like a lot of people (myself included) will just give up if they feel like they aren't good enough. so that is literally the stupidest thing i've ever heard. excuse my french but just fucking make something! like be proactive with your time and you'll probably create some form of art. like if you enjoy making poorly shaped play-doh bowls, keep doing it! if you enjoy drawing stick figure comics, keep doing it! if you love to paint but always manage to get more paint on your body than on the canvas, keep doing it!!!!!!! like breh last month i tried to crochet a scarf and it came out looking more like a tampon string than an article of clothing, so i had to start over, and then i made a pretty neat scarf. but anyways, the point is that we should feed our creativity and fight the online elon musk ai 67 dubai chocolate labubu monoculture! yay!!!!!

this is a digital archive of my adventures, big and small. my only goal here is to create a multi-media library of things i find meaningful. i want to eventually create something that is a good representation of what i think the inside of my brain looks like. thematic structure is often ignored. cheers!

if u wanna talk, just email me lol: [email protected]

enjoy!!!!!!!!@@@%&&$$$$!!!!!!%%$$$$$$$$$!!

P.S.
unfortunately, i am not very tech-savvy so this site flops on anything that isn't a computer... i'm working on it. xoxo
